Responsibilities:

This role involves assessing both adults and young people for ADHD, taking into account other possible conditions to make accurate diagnostic decisions. Using clinical expertise, you’ll determine treatments and manage ADHD in line with your extensive knowledge.

You’ll autonomously handle diagnostic decisions and utilise independent prescribing skills to conduct health assessments, initiate medication, and adjust dosages.

Create treatment plans ensuring the client’s involvement in decision- making, conducting regular medication reviews, and overseeing clients’ transition to NHS services.

Additionally, you’ll monitor physical health indicators, assess risks, maintain meticulous client records, and provide professional reports in a timely manner.

Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll recommend further assessments or interventions, contribute to refining ADHD pathways, offer training to colleagues, and engage in ongoing professional development and supervision to ensure high-quality care.

Maintain current in your expertise, receiving regular clinical, management, prescribing, and team supervision.
