We are a clinician-led online mental health care provider dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to quality mental healthcare. Our focus is on neurodevelopmental assessments for both adults and children, utilising the latest evidence, NICE standards and guidance.

Our hand-picked practitioners conduct thorough assessments for ADHD using a private and highly secure video service. Many of our team members have extensive experience as clinical leads in neurodevelopmental disorders within NHS Hospitals and private practices. They have expertise in developing digital protocols and conducting remote assessments, diagnoses, and post-diagnosis support.

We offer comprehensive support, including digital booking, reception services, form collection and collation, and a robust clinical record system. We prioritise flexibility to accommodate clients’ schedules whenever possible. As we expand rapidly, we are seeking skilled professionals to join us in innovating the growing field of telehealth.

 

The Role

As an ADHD Specialist, your responsibilities will include conducting assessments for ADHD in adults and young people, making diagnoses, providing medication treatments and reviews where necessary, and delivering psycho-social ADHD interventions such as support groups for individuals diagnosed with ADHD or their parents. You will also be expected to advise and support colleagues, ensuring the delivery of high-quality ADHD pathways that lead to positive outcomes for our clients. Working closely with a Consultant Psychiatrist and other members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), you will contribute to the Neurodevelopmental Service.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for ADHD in adults and young people, considering differential and co-occurring conditions to make diagnostic decisions.
  • Utilise your clinical judgement and experience to make treatment decisions to complete health assessments, initiate medication, and adjust dosages.
  • Develop and implement plans for treatment and medication management, following NICE guidance and national/local formularies.
  • Ensure that clients’ interests are fully considered within the context of their treatment plans, fostering ethical and shared decision-making with the involvement of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct regular medication reviews for adults and children for whom you have prescribed ADHD medication. Act as the care coordinator for each client, aiming to transition them to shared care and referral to their local NHS service for routine annual reviews.
  • Ensure that physical observations of patients, including height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse, are received prior to appointments.
  • Perform risk assessments and review safeguarding needs in conjunction with treatment strategies during ongoing patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records on our clinical platform, ensuring professional report writing and completion within expected timeframes.
  • Provide recommendations for any additional assessments or interventions required by clients within the assessment report.
  • Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team to further develop ADHD pathways.
  • Offer consultation and training to enhance the skills of other staff members in this specialised area.
  • Maintain registration with the appropriate governing body NMC
  • Access regular clinical supervision, management supervision, NMP supervision, and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

 

Experience & Skills Required

  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practise.
  • Registered nurse, allied health professional or medical practitioner with experience of assessing and diagnosing ADHD.
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) qualification essential 
  • Relevant experience of ADHD treatment and medication management in a specialist ADHD service.
  • Relevant experience of carrying out remote assessments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage own caseload.
  • Good knowledge of legislation, research and developments relevant to the field of ADHD.
