Position Overview:

They are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their dynamic team. The role involves conducting comprehensive evaluations of new patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing education on available treatment options.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of new patients to assess mental health status, medical history, and treatment needs.
  • Collaborate with the lead psychiatrist and medical director to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
  • Prescribe and manage appropriate therapies in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
  • Provide patient education on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including clinical operations staff and external providers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • Valid and unrestricted license in the State of New York.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care with a focus on promoting mental health and wellness.

Additional Information:

  • This is a Full-Time position.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
