The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide medical, diagnostic and treatment services for child or adult patients with mental health disorders.

Flexible Hours, Monday to Friday, Part Time & Full Time Available – 40 Hour Week (Minimum 16 Hours)

The Day to Day

• Ensures the clinic operates efficiently.
• Conducts assessments to identify clients’ educational needs.
• Manages illnesses, including understanding disease processes.
• Administers guidance on medications, prevention, complications recognition, and self-care.
• Listens actively to clients and their families, offering reassurance and emotional support.
• Upholds the dignity of clients and maintains the confidentiality of records and verbal communications.
• Provides telephone triage services, including relaying medication orders to pharmacists, facilitating referrals, and utilizing assessment skills and clinic protocols to address medical inquiries from clients.
• Maintains precise patient records, documenting care and educational interventions, and evaluating client responses and comprehension.

Education

• Possession of a Master of Science degree in Nursing/PMHNP from an accredited college or university
• Washington State licensure as a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Mandatory requirement: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is essential.
