We have partnered with a fantastic, family run and award-winning organisation based in Surrey who offer a diverse range of care services, such as residential and nursing services for those with traumatic brain injuries and as well as long standing neurological conditions. They are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist, on a part time basis, up to 4 days.
The company have been operating for nearly 40 years, in that time winning some prestigious awards for the expert care they provide. The team is comprised of Occupational Therapists, Rehab Assistants, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and a Clinical Psychologist, meaning you will get close support from all areas to provide the best care possible. Those that have worked there have described the company as extremely flexible whilst also striving for excellence within the care they provide.
The company are extremely keen to see you progress as a practitioner, providing in service training as well as external courses and clinical supervision from the specialist neurological OT to ensure you develop your skills and can give the best care possible to your patients.
The Role
To assess and treat own caseload of people using our services and to maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner, with a varied caseload supporting those with acquired brain injuries and complex long-term disabilities.
To work collaboratively with care and wellbeing staff to achieve rehabilitation using a holistic approach.
To be responsible for supervision of therapy assistants.
To support neuro-rehabilitation pre–admission assessments alongside the multidisciplinary team.
