Job Summary:
Here at Take a Seat we are working with a company that are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join an integrated healthcare team, dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health and social services to a diverse patient population. As an LCSW, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, contributing to the well-being and recovery of individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to determine patients’ mental health and social service needs, formulate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans.
- Individual and Group Therapy: Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling to individuals and groups, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, addiction, and trauma.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute mental health crises or emotional distress.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate closely with other healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to ensure a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to care.
- Case Management: Assist patients in accessing community resources, social services, and support programs to promote overall well-being and recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other pertinent documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
- Patient Education: Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families on mental health issues, coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence when working with a diverse patient population, respecting individual values and beliefs.
- Ethical Standards: Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with developments in the field of mental health, participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Spanish speaking required.
- Current LCSW licensure in the state of New Jersey.
- Prior experience in clinical social work, ideally in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapy modalities and counseling techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
- A commitment to patient-centered care and a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare.
