We provide exceptional care and treatment for adults facing a wide range of mental health issues. Our comprehensive services cater to both inpatients and day patients, ensuring that individuals receive the support they need to regain control of their lives. With our specialisation in acute mental health conditions, addiction issues (both drug and alcohol), and an esteemed Eating Disorders unit, we are at the forefront of transformative mental health care.
As a Counselling Psychologist in our esteemed facility, you will play a vital role in facilitating therapy groups and providing one-on-one counseling to our inpatients, day care patients, and outpatients with complex mental health challenges. We are looking for a compassionate professional who can bring their wealth of experience and specialized skills to make a profound impact on the lives of our patients.
✅ Minimum of three years post-qualification experience in working with adult mental health issues
✅ Full HCPC accreditation
✅ Experience in facilitating psychological, psycho-educational, and relapse prevention therapy groups
✅ Proficiency in conducting individual therapy sessions
✅ Ability to complete assessments and formulate effective treatment plans
✅ Availability for case formulations within inpatient settings and close collaboration with Consultant Psychiatrists
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with CBT, CBT-e, DBT, Schema therapy, or EMDR
  • Accreditation in EMDR or Schema therapy is desirable
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you may have the opportunity to supervise a Trainee Psychologist and offer clinical supervision to two Psychologists at a similar or lower level. Your expertise will also be crucial in providing psychological debriefs to support the hospital after incidents, as required.
