Salary Range: $ 65,000 – $ 75,000
DESCRIPTION:
The primary clinician is responsible for the delivery of assessments/intakes, group facilitation, maintaining a caseload, discharge planning for substance use disorder treatment and related services to adults with drug/alcohol problems.
DESCRIPTION, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY:
· Clinical assessments, treatment, case management, consultation, referral and education
· according to the individual’s professional discipline. Services shall be provided in
· accordance with the established BSAS Standards.
· Conduct psychosocial evaluations and provide therapeutic interventions including crisis
· Counseling to individuals, groups, and families as needed to facilitate.
· Provides diagnostic assessment, and treatment planning and completes necessary updates as required
· Provides individual, family, and group service appropriate to client needs.
· Satisfactory performance in initial Clinical Competencies.
· Attend staff meetings; participate in clinical supervision, and other activities, which ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations.
· Maintains positive relationships with referral sources and aftercare providers. Prepares needed reports of treatment as requested.
· Develops ongoing treatment plans through case staffing with the treatment team and interaction with assigned client’s caseloads.
· Maintain case records to reflect the course of treatment and provide required documentation.
· Provides aftercare planning, and coordinates with clients around all services.
· Demonstrated ability to excel in core competency requirements.
· Participates in agency program development activities
· Attends staff meetings, supervisory conferences, and other activities, which ensures smooth functioning of Recovery Team Newton’s operations.
· Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies
· Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Program Director or by the Executive Director
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements: Master’s degree, or higher in mental health, social work, or a related field. Eligible for, or in possession of a current MA professional license in Chemical Dependency. Two years’ experience in the substance use disorder field.
